We recently hosted an AMA with Alpha Impact, on May 26th at 1.00 PM UTC. Many of you might have participated or many of not. But we make sure no one missed out from the knowledge shared by Hayden Hughes, CEO & Co-Founder of Alpha Impact. So here we are up with the AMA transcript, for those who missed the live session, this blog post will be a saver & feeder of knowledge for them.

Q1. Could you please introduce Alpha Impact to our community in layman’s term?

Ans — Alpha Impact is a non custodial social trading platform. So we’re like Etoro, except with lower fees, and customers get to keep funds in their own account.

Unlike other platforms we allow customers to trade options, spot, margin and futures.

Unlike other platforms we let customers choose low, medium, and high risk strategies.

Unlike other platforms, our top traders give us real time access to their portfolio via API, so customers can be sure that all traders' track records are real.

Q2. What are the advantages of Alpha Impact to other alternatives in the Blockchain field?

Ans — Well we are actually building this platform with the 85% of people who have never invested in crypto in mind. To grow the crypto industry we have to make investing safe, accessible, and trustworthy.

So we're non custodial. Customers never send funds to us.

We're giving everyone access - not just rich people.

And we're in Singapore - the home of crypto regulation.

The next month is very important for us. We’re launching our IDO and also launching signals mining - the trading competition for everyone - and yield farming.

We’re also excited to build On Chain social trading starting in Q4. Where people can follow top traders via Uniswap.

Q1. Alpha impact is copy-trading platform, And Market fluctuate regularly nowadays but these past days have the biggest impact making it drop more than usual. And their panicking to sell their crypto. How alpha impact removes their worries and stress from crypto trading?

Ans — Well unfortunately in crypto, black swan events such as these happen fairly often. Far more often than in traditional asset classes.

I saw that prices were oversaturated and exited most of my positions into fiat and also went short. So the downturn was not all bad for me. But I live eat and breathe crypto trading. Lots of my friends are still underwater.

I think it is very important to give investors access to a top trader for them to copy. Even allocating 10% into a different trader's portfolio (if that trader is truly different) reduces risk.

Q2. How do you identify and measure trading expertise on your social trading platform?Will there be any RATINGS or EXPERT leaderboards that will rank them based on their expertise and trading achievements? How many merchants can a user copy and does it cost a fee to use this service?

Ans — Users who stake the bottom tier of tokens may follow one trader, while users on higher tiers can follow up to 8 traders.

We evaluate traders based on location, KYC (yes, we KYC traders although they can still choose to be anonymous to customers), performance.

We also have a leaderboard that allows customers to sort traders by shrimps, lobsters and whales. So you can know if you are following someone with lots of assets or not.

Finally you can sort by risk level, so you can sort traders by return, consistency, sharpe ratio, and drawdown (worst month).

Q3. Alphaimpact is a platform that helps in the education of those investors who are investing in cryptocurrencies for the first time, what are the teaching mechanisms that alpha impact has for these new investors?

Ans — We’re building two main feature sets:

1. An academy where users can learn by watching videos and earn prizes

2. A simulation account where users can trade fake money

We’ll even host trading competitions for simulation accounts!

Q4. Alpha Impact does not provide information on the uses, functions and usefulness of the $IMPACT token. Can you provide more information about the benefits and functions of the $IMPACT token in the project ecosystem and how it affects the entire Alpha Impact community?

Ans — The Alpha Impact token can be used for a few purposes:

BY CUSTOMERS:
1. To pay fees
2. To stake and reduce fees
3. To stake and increase functionalities: follow more traders, get access to fundamental analysis, technical analysis, and sentiment analysis

BY TRADERS:
1. To get paid fees
2. To stake and get a higher revenue share
3. To stake and become a super trader: we will share their profile with our institutional clients and to help them attract AUM and earn more fees

BY ANYONE:

1. Stake and get paid interest
2. Contribute to our Liquidity pool and earn APY
3. Refer a customer and get a paid a % of their fees

Q5. Trading is the principal feature on Alpha Impact ecosystem, but I saw you'll be running an IDO soon of your token $IMPACT, what other features will be allowed by then and what will be the utility of your token?

Ans — We’ve been laser focused on the IDO which will be happening on June 3rd! Please check out our Telegram channel to find out how to whitelist and get on the WHITELIST LOTTERY.

The focus for us in the month of June after launch will be on Staking and Yield Farming. We’re very excited to pay interest to investors who hold our token.

Q1. If the Trader I follow carries a losing trade for a long time and wants to keep it but I don’t, can I close it at any time?

Ans — Whether you are trading in manual or automatic mode, you can always click to exit your position at market.

Later in the roadmap (not in MVP) You'll be able to set limit orders. For example, follow trader X until my portfolio has increased 10%.

Q2. Do you have a head office and all you guys working together?

Ans — Yep we’re based in Singapore.

Q5. What’s your long-term vision for marketing and the $IMPACT? How will you increase the adoption of blockchain by institutions?

Ans — Institutions are well served. We’re focused on individuals.

Q6. Does Alpha Impact have any plan to give airdrop to holders?

Q7. Usually the project only tells about their strengths. Can you tell us honestly about the weaknesses of your project? And what are your plans to solve it?

Ans — Weakness is our CEO sometimes spends too much time trading crypto and forgets about AMAs until 10 minutes before because he is setting up a DOGEcoin position.

Q8. What are the strategies that a user can use according to the categories of high reward (high risk) or stable reward (low risk) according to the conditions or services of Alpha Impact?

Ans — Well we’re not a robo advisor. Our vision is to give everyone the ability to follow a trader that works for them. So you can choose a high risk strategy or a low risk strategy like the basis trade.

Q9. In what cryptocurrency will deposits be made on your platform?

Ans — We are a non custodial platform that does not accept deposits. You connect your own crypto exchange account.

Q10. Can you explain us what are the pre-requirements to be considered a expert trader on your ecosystem? Or any user is free to share their strategies?

Ans — Anyone can become a top trader although we require you to KYC and we share with users if you are a shrimp, lobster or whale.

Q11. Any major announcement durning this AMA? Can You talk about Alpha Impact 's Competitors? Will Alpha Impact be able to achieve higher speeds than its competitors?

Ans — We are launching an IDO on June 3rd, next week.

Q12. Can you share some details about your seed investors? Also since we are secondary buyers how can you guarantee that they will not dump on us?

Q13. How is the profit agreement between the Copy Traer and the Top Trader? How much commission or percentage to pay?

Ans — We charge a 1% transaction fee to the customer and share this 25-60% with the top trader depending on their activity and profitability and community.

Q14. Alphaimpact has "exchange API connectivity" for its users, Can you explain the exchange API connectivity works?

Ans — Users give us a trade only API key so we can execute trades from their platform. Top traders give us a read only API so we can see their trades.

Q15. On the platform they report that if you are not a trader, you can earn money by inviting your friends to the platform and earning referral fees. Could you give us more details on how this referral system works and how it benefits the Alpha Impact community and ecosystem?

Ans — To be super honest we have not figured this out. But I promise if you sign up and become a user, we will email you to tell you how.

Q16. Will you have your own academy to train novice traders? What ideas do you have in this direction?

Ans — I like how coinbase does it: they get random coins and reward you for doing tasks.

Q17. As Singapore trading platfrom, does Alpha Impact provide serve for globally traders?

Ans — We serve everyone except sanctions list countries and terrorists and North Koreans

Q18. Users should connect Alpha Impact with their exchange platforms of their choice, right? If so, my question is the following, are all Cex exchangers compatible with Alpha Impact? If not, could you tell us with which platforms if it will be available?

Ans — FTX, Binance. Exploring Bitfinex and Kucoin.

Q19. Alpha Impact recently finalized a $ 3.1 million funding round led by LuneX Ventures, Genesis Block HK, and an undisclosed HFT firm. Can you tell us a bit about this imminent achievement and how it will positively affect the evolutionary growth of Alpha and all of its partners involved?
