We recently hosted an AMA with Faraland, on August 11th at 2 PM UTC. Many of you might have participated or many of not. But we make sure no one missed out from the knowledge shared by Son Ho, Project Manager of Faraland. So here we are up with the AMA transcript, for those who missed the live session, this blog post will be a saver & feeder of knowledge for them.

Introduction Questions Asked By Team BlockTalks!

Q1. Could you please introduce Faraland to our community in layman’s term?

Ans — Faraland is a turn-based strategy & RPG. In the game, you can use your NFTs as heroes and compete with other players by learning powerful skills, collecting rare equipment, recruiting troops, moving around the map, capturing resources and joining battles. All heroes have mutually exclusive attributes, and after each battle, they earn the experience, such that veteran heroes are significantly more powerful than inexperienced ones.

Q2. What are the advantages of Faraland to other alternatives in the Blockchain field?

Ans — We know that there are a lot of teams and competitors out there developing their NFT gaming projects. Faraland has advantages that we’re confident with: - All crypto and non-crypto can participate in Faraland. For blockchain users, players can use $FARA to trade in exchange, trade NFT heroes or equipment in the marketplace. NFT Heroes will have more base stats than non NFT heroes and have some unique functions like floor price. For non-crypto players, they can enjoy the game with normal Hero (non NFT). With them, Faraland is just like other mobile games. They also can claim Fara token they earn from game activities to $FARA (crypto) and trade in exchange for money.
- Not many blockchain games have their own version on mobile because of Apple restriction. The main reason for this is that Apple does not accept money payment on apps. We have our own payment gateway and syncing between offchain and onchain to deploy our games in both IOS and Android apps, so users can experience the games On-chain in mobiles.

- Our "play-to-earn" mechanism is rich and scalable, unlike many gaming projects which are basically a ponzi in the gaming form. People can buy heroes, equipment from in-game marketplace, then attack other players to earn rewards (FARA token). With $FARA, they can stake to increase their hero’s exp, upgrade equipment, try their luck in gacha-like equipment vending machines to earn the good equipment from the machines and make a fortune with it. For normal users, they can choose to play the ads on the mobile platform to earn $FARA as well.
- We focus a lot on the content and storyline of the game, making it an actual game where people can actually be entertained, instead of just a "play-to-earn" tool.

Q3. What are the major milestones Faraland achieved so far & what are in the future pipeline?

Ans — Since the IDO, we’ve achieved quite some results which I can happily talk about:
- We sold 20,000 NFT eroes (10,000 worth of $BNB)
- Total staked $FARA: 4,118,000 FARA tokens
- Our marketplace volume has reached nearly 14,000 BNB with the highest price for one NFT hero was 120 BNB
- Total value locked: $13,000,000+
- Top 10 Binance MVB.
- Our token price grew from $0.26 in June to $6 in July (over 2000% at maximum)

Accordingly, we're actually progressing as a game developer (following our roadmap without any delay) and a business (generating revenue), which is not a common thing in the crypto world.

By far, we’ve been committing to our roadmap so you can follow our roadmap on the website https://faraland.io/ to see what we’re up to. Of course, there will be surprises along the way, the text game version coming out next month is an example.

Questions Asked on Twitter For Faraland Team!

Q1. It strikes me that each NFT hero will have a minimum price in it MarketPlace, but I would like to ask you that if NFTs don't have a defined price, then why impose this price to Faraland heroes?and will it be the same price for all of them?or will some be more expensive than others?

Ans — That’s the great thing about Faraland. While NFTs from other projects don’t have a floor price, we create a floor price for our NFT heroes to protect our users. The floor price originally is 10% of the NFT public sale price. We also have many features to raise your heroes' price:
- Whenever the heroes are traded on the marketplace, their floor price will be gained. 2% of total trading volume goes to Hero’s floor price each time a Hero is traded on our marketplace. The more NFT traded, the more floor price it will accumulate.
⁃ Raise the floor price by battle with other players. You lose nothing if you just play a normal match, to practice your skills or to get familiar with the gameplay. If you choose rank match, then the floor price will be reduced after you lose
- You also can raise your floor price by using $FARA.

Q2. The Faraland Universe has many different races such as humans, orcs, angels, demons, dragons, elves and fairies, what are the differences of all of them, are there differences in costs or abilities, how many species are there of each race?

Ans — Different races have different stats & skills, with different summing rate of course. They are: Human (50%), Orc (24.6%), Elf (20%), Fairy (4%), Dragonborn (1%), Angel (0.2%) and Demon (0.2%).
There are different element types for them as well: Normal, Fire, Grass, Wing, Water, Ice, Thunder, Rock.

Human race takes 50% of NFTs. However, human class is not weak. We build human as the best class to cast effect skill, so when the gameplay is released, you may want a human on your team actually. Due to random system, all the body parts like hair, eyes, nose, mouth have a rare ratio also. The parts have their own attributes so you can get a human with rare & stronger parts than others. For example, a human with Goku's hair (from Dragonball) will be much stronger than a character from other classes (the rate for Goku's hair is only 0.03%).

Q3. As i can see entry for new players seems hard as limited 20K Hero supply already in circulation and costly for average player. Do you have plans for Play2Earn low budget for players as this will boom adoption, such as asian community as games spikes userbase with this strategy.

Ans — We’ll open new hero sales in the future, the price will be only 0.5 BNB for each, which is lower from what you’ve been seeing on the marketplace. However, you won’t know which heroes you will get until they’re all revealed (after the sale is finished). And of course, you’ll need to buy fast just in case everything will be sold out.

Actually, we’ll have a free version for off-chain players to enjoy the game, get a demo of what the game is like, thus they can decide if the investment is worth it or not. Of course, the free version & free heroes won’t be able to access special & on-chain features of the game.

Q4. While doing some research I found that, “All crypto and non-crypto can participate in Faraland” then why there is a need of Native Token like $FARA? Can’t users just play it like any other game?

Ans — Yes people can play it just like other games, but they can’t access features that are exclusive for token holders.

The token can be used throughout our ecosystem in many ways:
- Purchase equipment for their Hero.
- Upgrade their equipment to a higher tier.
- Stake token for EXP farming for their Hero.
- Give an unique name for the Hero.
- Reward for seasonal events and other gaming activities.
- Vote for various gaming parameters in DAO.
These features will not only enhance your gameplay experience, but also will benefit you in other terms. For example, after making your hero/equipments stronger with FARA token, you can then sell those on our in-game NFT Marketplace.

Q5. How does $Faraland stand different from other leading “Play-to-Earn” genres of gaming NFT’s? And could you explain the method of earning, Is it by trading the in-game items earned?

Ans — In my point of view, any Play-2-Earn mechanism consists of 3 parts: Investing, Creating values & Earning. However, not all projects can work this out thoroughly, as they’re skipping the “Creating values” part, making the game unscalable. At one point, those games won’t be able to attract new players.

In Faraland, we focus a lot on our gameplay to attract new players while retaining old ones, and our P2E mechanism is worked thoroughly:
- Investing is the process when you buy a NFT character with our NFT public sale or from others on the market place
- Creating values is the process when you upgrade those NFTs during the whole gaming process. For example, staking a token to upgrade hero’s level, equip heroes with better items, make them learn new skills better skill books, etc.
- Earning is the process where you earn either $FARA or $BNB via different activities within the game: engaging in PvP, completing quests, selling NFT heroes & items, etc. You can then sell $FARA and $BNB to your local currencies on exchanges.

Of course, in order to encourage the growth of $FARA, the token will be given many utilities which I mentioned in the above question and more. This enables players to make their stable earnings from both the token and NFTs.

Questions Asked by our BlockTalks Community Members during live Session to Faraland Team!!

Q1. Faraland plans to release the mini text game version first before the main version of the game, so, can you explain why the development team made this decision for the future of the project? What can the community expect from the text game version? How can they participate?

Ans — We want to make the mini text-game version first before the main game version because:
- We want players to experience a part of the game and make their income revolving around quests. It’s better for them than waiting till the end of the year.
- Faraland focuses a lot on content value, adventures & quizzes. Faraland wants players to find out the secrets of the game. The expedition clip only has 1 of 40 places of the Human map. Faraland’s worldmap has 7 continents, in accordance with 7 races of the curent storyline (we are planning to expand them also)
- There are many excellent text games which won awards in recent years, such as The Walking Dead, Bury me my love, Simularca. This gameplay style is not out-of-date.

Again, the text version will enable you to earn tokens, items, which will benefit you a lot before the main version comes at the end of year. Regarding how to participate in the text game version, we'll make an official announcement in due time.

Q2. It draws my attention to see that the NFT Heroes of your game are developed in the BEP-721 network, but that their equipment will be in BEP-1155, therefore, could you explain why develop them in different networks when both collectibles work together?

Ans — BEP-721 and BEP-1155 are always on the same network, the only difference is that, BEP-721 is kind of more unique since each ID represents one and only one entity, that fits well to the Hero character that cannot be duplicated and only one Hero can exist. on the other hand, BEP-1155 for Equipment also has its own ID, but each ID can represent for a multiple amount of NFTs. Ex: A wooden sword, there will surely be a lot of them and they are all the same under one single ID.

Q3. As far as I know, MyDefiPet AXS and Fara both come from Vietnam, will you guys work together to create an nft game community like "Ready Player One"?

Ans — Last month we formed a partnership with My Defi Pet. At the moment, we’re still working on Faraland. I also know that there are currently a lot of Vietnamese team building their projects as well, and there are really promising ones. The good thing is, our genres are different so we can avoid competing with each other.
By now, I believe that Faraland and all other projects are focusing on our own projects as we all are still at the start. But who knows, your idea is great. I believe that later on, we can probably build metaverses for different games to have cross-NFT-characters.

Q4. They have recently announced through their medium that as of August 17, blind boxes will be available on the Binance NFT marketplace platform. So, is there a purchase limit? How many boxes can we buy? Why were they launched on the binance marketplace and not on your public platform?

Ans — In Every Mystery Box, you will find an equipment. As a Turn base Strategy RPG, Equipment is very important factor in Faraland. You can use these equipments to equip your hero, make them strong and discover the Faraland world. Community collector can receive special reward in game later as they collect different rarity of the mystery boxes.

Exclusively for Binance NFT Launch, Faraland will release 21 special Binancian Equipment Sets in SSR and SR boxes which only limited available on Binance Mystery Box and value for even collection purpose and gaming feature later.

We also consider this is an amazing opportunity to get more attention from other users. We believe that Binance Mystery Box will attract more new users to Faraland and get to know more about us.

Q5. The NFT equipment that can only be obtained through the Binance Mystery box will contain a unique new NFT available in 3 qualities: R, SR & SSR. My question, can you explain each of these qualities, namely R, SR, SSR?

Ans — They are as below:

- SSR Introduction: 21 boxes in total
Rarity: Epic or Rare
Race: Human, Orc
This box is exclusive to the war gods of Faraland. This Box contains powerful weapons, which will make any gamer crave. Meticulously drawn, the equipment in the box is the most sophisticated item. Interestingly, when your character owns them, the character’s stats will increase rapidly, possibly several dozen times to a hundred times. The damage to the equipment is immeasurable. Just by owning this equipment, you will dominate the arena of Faraland.

- SR Introduction: 3560 boxes in total
Rarity: Rare or Uncommon
Race: Angel, Demon, Human, Orc, Dragonborn, Elf, Fairy
This box is exclusive to the heroes of Faraland. The Box contains rare items that make your hero super powerful. These equipment are delicately designed. In addition, they also add more stats to your heroes. Just by owning this equipment, you will hardly be defeated in the arena of Faraland.

- R Introduction: 6500 boxes in total
Rarity: Uncommon or Common
Race: Human, Orc, Elf, Fairy
This box is exclusive to the warriors of Faraland. The Box contains Uncommon-class weapons — necessary equipment when participating in the Great War of Faraland. The Box includes the most basic weapons such as axes, knives, and bows, suitable for any player, no matter what race your hero is. The power stats of these weapons are quite high, which will make your hero stronger. These are the must have items in order to be able to survive in the arena of Faraland.
