We recently hosted an AMA with Kawaii Islands, on September 28th at 2 PM UTC. Many of you might have participated or many of not. But we make sure no one missed out from the knowledge shared by Reishi, Lead Game Designer at Kawaii Islands & Mr. Minh Do, Co-Founder & CEO of Kawaii Islands. So here we are up with the AMA transcript, for those who missed the live session, this blog post will be a saver & feeder of knowledge for them.

Q1. Could you please introduce Kawaii Islands to our community in layman’s term?
Ans — Kawaii Islands is a NFT simulation play-to-earn game that creates a fantasy universe on the cloud for multiplayers to experience a whole set of simulation gaming with farming, crafting, home designing, styling and social-networking.
We are launching Alpha game on September 30 and our secondary marketplace for players trading is running now.
We have also introduced Kawaii Islands game concept on various channels. You can check them out for reference.

Q2. What are the advantages of Kawaii Islands to other alternatives in the Blockchain field?
Ans — I think the first one is we start with a fully functional play-to-earn: From the alpha version of the game, players can already play to earn.
Great graphic design: Imba game studio has had over 6 years of developing experience with this Kawaii style games, the initial design got great feedback from our customers when we introduced our trailer video and also the presale events.
And we have to talk about customizable: Kawaii Islands and NFTs gaming open up a flexible world for users as they can customize their experience with us. We have future plan to open up new features where artists can create their own game NFTs and sell them for in game use. Other players can also purchase these and use them for their characters.
Q3. What are the major milestones Kawaii Islands achieved so far & what are in the future pipeline?
Ans — Kawaii Islands successfully sold out 2 presale events on Sep 15 and Sep 22 for game item NFTs with the sold out record of 6 seconds for 1 lot. We also raised $2.4M from many elite investors.
Other investors created a combination of traditional financing, gaming and crypto backgrounds. With their expertise, Kawaii Islands will take a step further to connect all other anime games into their making of an anime metaverse.
As mentioned above, we are launching Alpha game on September 30 and our secondary marketplace for players trading is running now.
Kawaii Islands will not just stop as a singular NFT play-to-earn game. Our vision is to create and connect other high quality anime games into an anime metaverse with unlimited potential where everyone can play, connect, create and earn.

Q1. The KWT token is an important asset for the Kawaii islands, because it can be used as a governance token and it also has several other use cases. What is the usefulness of the KWT token? What type of governance does the token have? In which decisions can the holder participate?
Ans — KWT token is the governance token of Kawaii Islands with multi purposes: In-game fee paying, Receive rewards, Share revenues
Players earn through Delivery Orders, staying on Top of Leaderboard for Home Decoration/ Fashionista, Staking or Selling items.
They also spend KWT to Craft items, buy items or pay event fee.
For governance function, players can vote on KWT important decisions like propose spending or change game policies. Each proposal is raised via a voting interface in the game (coming soon) and only when the majority votes for its “pass”, the policy is applied.

Q2. Many issues surround due to its exclusivity, including slippage, rugpulls, surcharges, Smart Contract security, poor network & compromising users real-world safety. What is Kawaii approach to resolving these issues, particularly for the emerging technological generations?
Ans — We’re also very confident since we have a strong AI and blockchain company, Oraichain, as our strategic partner. They add a great deal to our pack of knowledge and will help ensure the quality of Kawaii Islands.
Q3. Community is so important for every project. During the time you build Kawaii Islands, do you take into account community feedbacks and demands? Do you have any plan to attract more users and community?
Ans — GameFi projects like Kawaii Islands need two communities at the same time: community of players and community of investors.
We keep their interests in several and different ways: fun and play-to-earn for players; and steady returns for investors via many DeFi strategies.
Their feedbacks are all listened and reflected in our social channels and they can have roles in governing important strategies of games via DAO too.
Q4. I would like you to tell us what will be the minimum amount that a player must have to enter the game and how long will be the necessary time that they will have to wait to recover their ROI? Obviously always speaking in $KWT and not in stablecoins.
Ans — It’s required that you have some essential game assets to start the game to earn: a magical plan, a field, and a magical creature. This can be thought as an "entry fee". Each item has estimated price of $10-$200.
Our marketplace is totally decentralized and the price depends on the players to set. We opened the trading function a few hours ago so everyone can check it out.
The estimated time for return of investment is about 2 weeks after playing actively.
Q5. Most of the games categorized as Play 2 Earn, require a prior investment to enter to play. So, is a minimum investment required to be able to play? Do you need to equip the character with basic sets or something like that and then evolve? How will the game dynamics be?
Ans — As mentioned, the price depends on the players to set so it works like a free market, the demand and supply will determine the entry cost. You guys can check out the marketplace at anytime to see the price of your favorite set of items.
We can talk abit about the game loop too. Players can farm their plants and creatures to convert material and dyes for crafting items to earn. The higher the level, the more variety of items you can craft and the higher the earning value.

We also have the free to play feature where players can go help collecting eggs or fruits. They can earn abit and experience the game before decide to buy items and play to earn.

Q1. I understand that soon you will be doing the IDO of your native tokens, but are you really waiting for this to be completed to launch the Alpha version of your game? Or could we really already play without the need for their tokens?
Ans — We use AIRI token for Alpha version and will use KWT token after IDO.
Q2. All blockchain knowledge and mechanisms are gamified in our games. A traditional player doesn't need any phd-level brain to understand and have fun with the games.
Ans — All they might need to know, probably, are (1) instead of storing their game assets in database book, each is stored as an NFT so that everyone can verified, and it’s easier to exchange; and (2) they can earn cryptocurrencies which can be exchanged into real fiat money.
They can always raise questions at our community channels, we answer all in a very easy-to-understand way.
Q3. Do players have the possibility to create their own NFTs within Kawaii Islands? Can these NFTs be sold within the marketplace or only for the use of their creator?
Ans — We have plan to make a feature that user can upload their creatives (fashion or decoration items) to sell on marketplace. We will share more detail about this feature next year.
Q4. With the exclusive market for NFTs at aiRight, Kawaii Islands intends to develop a space where gamers can make considerable profits while playing their favorite games. What is aiRight? What benefits does it offer to the Kawaii marketplace?
Ans — We have many plan for expanding the Marketplace, 1 thing I can think of right now is create shops for artist to sell their self designed products that will be made into game items. Others can purchase and use it in game as well.
Q5. I could read that in Kawaii Island players will be able to experience a complete set of simulation games that include design, construction, crafting, farming and social networks, but could you really give us more details about the mode and characteristics of the game?
Ans — Player will do farming at beginning of the game, then they can join other activities with social feature.
Q6. Can you explain what are the essential requirements to be able to start playing on Kwaii Islands? How much is the minimum investment to start? Is it accessible for small investors?
Ans — You can read the free to play feature on our game play docs. It’ll allow you to collect some fruits or eggs in others islands (they will get bonus too in the future). These free features has daily limits but still a good chance to explore Kawaii Islands and you can always buy items later to participate in the full game play.
Q7. Researching on your website and social networks, I noticed your in-game artwork, the NFTs, how Kawaii Islands and its characters are. So, can you give details about the art team behind Kawaii Islands? What kind of game development engine do they use for the graphics of the game?
Ans — Thanks for realizing our kawaii art team effort! We currently have a team of 7 in-house artists working on the project. As the the developement engine for the game, our dev team use Unity.
Q8. Visualizing a little the images between his Litepaper, I could see that the island is mostly managed by animal characters. So, will the characters to choose be animals or also humans? Are there jobs or professions that the player can develop for his benefit and trade later?
Ans — The main character - also your avatar character will be in human form. We might release unique customized outfits in the future though. About the jobs/professions, we have plans for a Business feature that allows player to open their own Restaurant/Bars/etc. but that’s still in early development stage.

Ans — Not yet, but real soon. Sept 30 is the date of alpha launch!
Q11. Many new projects are risky and subject to smart contracts bugs and vulnerability. Can you assure us What steps has been taken for safety of your platform and have you done any audit?
Ans — Our game is still in internal testing and being audited by Certik.
