We recently hosted an AMA with Kryptomon on March 12th at 12.30 PM UTC. Many of you might have participated, or many of you might not. But we ensure no one misses out on the knowledge shared by Umberto Canessa Cerchi, Founder & CEO at Kryptomon . So here we are up with the AMA transcript; for those who missed the live session, this blog post will be a saver & feeder of knowledge for them.

Q1. Could you please introduce Kryptomon to our community in layman’s term?
Ans — I think the name is pretty self explanatory :D but yes KMON (kryptomon) is born from my passion for Pokémon, i mean I’ve grew up playing Pokémon games, but as a 30+ pokemon gamer and fan, I can tell that I was tired of the latest offering in terms of gameplay from the Pokémon team, I wanted to have a more mature storyline, complex and modern gameplay — and there it comes, we merged the pokemon game mechanics and cryptokitties nft concept in one single product (is a bit more advance than this) — as of Today the KMON Saga, consist in 3 games:
1) Pink Moon — A Pokèmon Go like experience that allows player to find hidden boxes around themselves in real life every 3 months, inside of those boxes players can find in game items or even NFTs
2) KMON: Genesis — Is a 2d mid core game, where players can train their mons, fight against other players in the PvP Battle league, and also follow the PvE campaign, while earning $KMON and other rewards
3) KMON: World of Kogaea — this is our core game, the game we have been mostly working on during the last 2 years of bear market, thanks to the 10 million $ investment we received from top notch Silicon Valley VCs, WoK is a full 3d MMORPG Game, imagine like World of Warcraft with Pokemon, where as trainers you can explore a vast world, build your base, craft items, raid dungeons, create your guild and much more.
Q2. What are the advantages of Kryptomon to the other alternatives in the Blockchain field?
Ans — honestly I think our focus on the game since the beginning, as I mentioned we started our journey in 2021 — during the previous NFT play to earn bull run — while everyone was so focused on earn part, leaving behind the game part, we actually focused on the game itself — giving us an incredible time advantage in terms of development and also learning, cause there are differences bewteen web2 players and web3 players motivation, the user experience, the core game loop and the game economy. we had the advantage to use the bear market to work on all of those aspects while everyone was still focused on the earn part just to realize that at the end it just don’t work
Q3. What are the major milestones Kryptomon achieved so far & what are in the future pipeline?
Ans — — $10Mln Equity Raise: Secured a $10Mln equity raise at a $50Mln valuation, led by VCs NFX and Griffin Gaming Partners, consolidating our position in the Web3 gaming space.
- Binance NFT Sales: Sold out three NFT sales on Binance in under 1 minute, showcasing the popularity of our Kryptomon eggs NFTs and phygital clothing line.
- Crypto.com NFT Drop: Conducted the first NFT gaming drop on Crypto.com, selling out within minutes and expanding our presence in the NFT space.
- Token Trading: Our token is actively traded on exchanges like Bybit, MEXC, and Gate.io, indicating our recognition.
- Partnerships: Collaborations with Sweat Economy, ChainGPT, Polygon, Unstoppable Domains, and others strengthen our ecosystem.
- Phygital Trading Card Game: Launched a phygital trading card game in 3,000+ physical stores in Italy, blending digital and physical realms.

Q1. What sets Kryptomon apart from traditional games like World of Warcraft and New World in terms of allowing players to sell in-game items, and what technology enables this freedom?
Ans — well I think here is the substantial difference between a web2 game and a web3 game, most of the web2 game are forbidding or limiting the sales of in game items between players — in KMON we actually incentivise that, is the core of why we are a web3 enhanced game
Q2. Can you explain the significance of a Kryptomon’s main and secondary families, and how they influence the types of spells a player’s character can learn?
Ans — So as said the inspiration for the game comes from Pokémon, and as in Pokémon every mon have two element family type — like Fire and Electro, these family type not only impact how the mon looks like since they are procedurally generated, but also it affects the mon stats and skills in battle, it add a great level of strategy within the matches, cause it could help create a killer team which is ready to fight any oppononent.
Q3. Can you walk us through the steps and procedures on how we can get whitelisted in the world of Kogaea launch?What are the potential benefits and privileges that comes with being whitelisted?When should we be expecting the main launch of the World of Kogaea game?
Ans — The process is actually pretty simple, just go to the website and leave your email, of course if you are part of our trainer club your spot is guaranteed — these community previous are a great opportunity to experience the game and the latest developed mechanics, earning rewards and exclusive nfts such as rare cosmetic etc. In the upcoming one we are also gonna have a very big prize pool something in the magnitude of 50,000$ total prize pool for those that complete the quests and win the challenges.
Q4. How does the breeding system in the Kryptomon game work, and what role do genetics and rarity play in determining the value and abilities of the Kryptomon creatures?
Ans — It’s simple and yet still complex, to breed a new mon (nft) you will need to have a female and a male and yes let them go down to business :D the breeding system works that it takes the genome of the parents and it uses to estrapolate what’s gonna be the genome of the offspring — the generation impact on how much mutation there will be, mutation is a factor that can drastically change the result of a kid, to give you a perspective if you have 2 very strong mon and one of them is like a very low gen, you won’t get that much mutation hence the kid will probably become more likely as strong as its parents, while if the parents generation is higher, you could end up in 2 scenarios:
1) you got lucky the kid mutate and it’s stronger
2) the most common, the kid mutate and its weaker
Q5. How does Kryptomon’s integration with the Polygon network improve the user experience in terms of transaction speed and cost, and what technical aspects were involved in this migration?
Ans — So moving to polygon is a natural step, during the last couple of years as I mentioned we spent a lot of time trying to understand “how do we onboard 1 million players” and the current chain UX is awful — it makes everything so much complicated for a newbie, and all the gas concept is something ppl don’t tend to understand at first, it creates frictions, for this reason we have decided to move to polygon, cause in this way we will be able to run gasless tx so players won’t really recognize that they even playing a web3 game at all — this is how we see it. It has been a complex technical challenge, but we partnered with our friends at Chainlink and they gave us access to one of their latest development, the CCIP system — which makes everything so much easier and secure when migrating.

Q1. How does Kryptomon ensure fairness and balance in battles between trainers, considering factors like genetic parameters, training levels, and elemental affinities?
Ans — that’s actually a good question and probably is the biggest challenge of all — keep the game balance, we do update and adjust the game balance very frequently also thanks to the input we receive from our players and the data we collect.
Q2. Are there any crafting or CUSTOMISATION OPTIONS available for in-game items in Kryptomon? How do they work?
Ans — yes, there’s both customization . you can customize your character and also use different cosmetic to change the look of it, but most important there’s crafting, you can combine multiple items together (nft and non) to craft new and more powerful nft items that can only obtained via crafting — we see good amount of players monetizing in this way, they grind the quests collect crafting materials, craft nft items and the resell them
Q3. Can players enjoy the benefits of the game without owning digital assets, and how does the possession of these assets enhance the overall gaming experience?
Ans — yes, as a player you can actually play with f2p mons — non nft kryptomons that we call Synthetics Kryptomons — they are exactly the same, the only difference is that since they are not nfts they are not capable to breed and other perks which are available only to real mons
Q4. What’s the total supply of the token ? Could you share a detailed tokenomics of mainnet token’s supply distribution?
