We recently hosted an AMA with Legends Of Elumia, on February 4th at 3 PM UTC. Many of you might have participated or many of not. But we make sure no one missed out from the knowledge shared by Bernin, Community team of Legends Of Elumia. So here we are up with the AMA transcript, for those who missed the live session, this blog post will be a saver & feeder of knowledge for them.

Introduction Questions Asked By Team BlockTalks!

Q1. Could you please introduce Legends Of Elumia to our community in layman’s term?

Ans — Legends of Elumia is a core massively multiplayer online role-playing game (MMORPG) in the traditions of games like World of Warcraft, etc.

It incorporates those elements of adventure, exploration, forming parties to delve into dungeons, and adds in the new elements of NFTs, etc.

Q2. What are the advantages of Legends Of Elumia to the other alternatives in the Blockchain field?

Ans — Well, I think the main thing here is that it’s a fun game developed by very experienced game developers with the gameplay experience at the core. While we’re innovating in the use of the new opportunities of metaverse gaming, our number one focus right now is on crafting and releasing a game that at its heart is fun to play. Made by gamers for gamers.

Q3. What are the major milestones Legends Of Elumia achieved so far & what are in the future pipeline?

Ans — First milestone: we got this project started!
But with so much game development experience under our collective belts, we’ve put together a team that is building on past experiences that give us a head start (things like server architecture, experience building economies). The most significant milestone next is to allow some players in to test an alpha release, which we intend to have available by the end of the quarter.
MMOs are big almost by definition. So there are a lot of moving parts in the development cycle, from technology to creating art assets, refining lore elements, balancing, and, of course—and vitally—testing.

Questions Asked on Twitter For Legends Of Elumia Team!

Q1. According to the Whitepaper-V2, Elumia has various NFTs & we trade them in Marketplace. Can you share us the utilities, rarity of these NFTs and how can we make profits through Elumia NFTs?

Ans — Yes, Elumia will incorporate NFTs as part of the game economy. There are two types: Elumia Crowns ($ELU) used for governance and staking, in-game activities, and more, and Elumia Krystals ($EKS) used as the core in-game economy, earned through gameplay, and used for buying in-game items.
The utilties—there will be in-game benefits for character classes/types. We expect players to be finding party members with items and abilities that complement their own in order to delve deeper into dungeons, take on bigger challenges, etc.
The specifics of the rarity we can’t go into right now as we’re still in the building and testing phases internally. But with tremendous experience creating and managing game economies in previous games we understand the progression process.
And as for profits, I hate using the phrase, but time will tell. What we’re building is a high quality game experience that will be fun to play, with a very low threshold to entry, that should be enjoyable by core and casual gamers alike, and enticing to crypto fans to enjoy as they’re looking to build their holdings.

Q2. I've read that Legends of Elumia accommodates many styles of play, from socializing to exploring. Exactly how many options are there within the game to generate income? Can rewards be generated by playing each different style per day? Tell us a bit about these possibilities.

Ans — It’s important to understand that the styles are not "modes." You don’t fire up the game and select a particular style to play that day. You live in the game world. What you do, how you choose to do it is entirely up to you, your friends that you’re partied or allied with, any in-game guild objectives, and more.
You may choose to explore on your own and gather resources from the countryside surrounding the City of Elumia. You may test your mettle in The Colosseum in the city, you may set up a stall and sell crafted goods. Or lfg (looking for group) and find folks to travel further afield in search of bigger challenges. All these actions can earn in-game currency. You don’t have to play the different ways to maximize your options and earning potential. You play the way you want and earn.

Q3. In addition to basic MMO experiences like exploring new areas and delving into deep and dangerous dungeons, Legends of Elumia allows players to buy land and build properties, but what are the benefits that these lands offer their owners? How does building a property benefit?

Ans — Isn’t it always good to feel like you have a secure roof over your head?! Seriously, owning land provides many potential revenue benefits. Aside from allowing you to construct buildings for trade or entertainment or hang-outs, they give you the space to call your own to build your footprint in the world, be that through in-game guilds or parties. We’ll have a lot more on the benefits of land and building ownership in the weeks ahead.

Q4. I read that Formed in 2006, they were pioneers in bringing high-quality PC-style traditional 3D MMORPG games to the mobile market. Why did you decide to migrate from the traditional market to the decentralized market governed by blockchain?

Ans — The main thing there is that it really is a natural evolution of the potential for experiencing a persistent online world. MMOs have been around in various guises for pushing 40 years! Starting with single-player text-based experiences where it was all down to your imagination (and reading!) Then we evolved into 3D worlds of increasingly spectacular visuals and deeper community experiences. Now, we can take all of that technology, lessons learned, understanding of economies, player preferences, and add the layer of ownership, the chases for position (greatness or notoriety) that metaverse gaming provides. Fundamentally, we believe that this represents a huge leap in the level of engagement that players will have in the game world, its lore, stories, and their own characters.

Q5. In your JCJ mode players will be able to participate in esports with their team, so can you explain me how many people make up a team and how they can participate in esports? By this do you mean that you will make tournaments constantly? What are the incentives for these players? Do you need to be a professional to participate here? In this game mode will the characters play against each other?

Ans — Well, a lot of this aspect is still being thought out, tested out, iterated on. But the plan is to roll out the opportunity for characters to battle in The Colosseum. We will certainly hold events and they will steadily build over time after launch. The incentives can be anything from bragging rights to earned currencies or in-game items or accoutrements.
And no, you certainly don’t need to be a pro esports player to participate. Though some skill will be required in maximizing your character’s abilities, in attacks and defense, these moments will be playable by players of all skill levels.
Again, not so much a mode, but if you wander into The Colosseum you’ll find the opportunities to battle other players, your friends, and others—the win/loss details will be revealed later.
But hit up screenshots on our Discord channel as we just revealed the entry archway to The Colosseum yesterday.

Questions Asked by our BlockTalks Community Members during live Session to Legends Of Elumia Team!!

Q1. How do you feel about all these achievements and what should be done to keep Legends Of Elumia on its wonderful path? What advancements do you plan to implement for tokens and the system?

Ans — The team has a lot of experience in creating, managing, and evolving game economies, so we’ll bring that to the progression for earning tokens here. We expect it to be pretty smooth given our experience so far.

Q2. I Wants to Clear one of my Doubt that Is LOE Platform Can be Played and Joined by Even the New Blockchain Users or the Traditional gamers Or Like other Gaming Platform Only Crypto Users Can play it?

Ans — We expect gamers to be playing the game. We expect crypto fans to be playing the game. We’re building a fun game and that, alongside building a strong community are our two initial goals. We expect the fact the game and world is fun to play to be the reason many people of different interests will get involved.

Q3. In addition to a variety of challenging game areas, I read that the game contains a vibrant city where players can socialize, interact and create their own virtual economies and communities. So, in what ways can a user create their own virtual economy or community in the game?

Ans — Players will be able to party/group with other players, create their own in-game guilds and groups. Who knows what might come of that! That’s the beauty of an open-ended persistent world. The players will make their own decisions and shape their own destinies whether its through standing through their exploits or building their own robust businesses.

Q4. What’s your main focus right now, are you focused on the community or market/Exchange or the products?

Ans — Right now, the focus is on building the game. There’s a lot to do there as the world of Elumia is big. The city itself is big, and then there are surrounding lands, dungeons, and more to explore. We’re building our community, releasing more in-game information along the way, doing AMAs like this, so that we can share where we are in the process. There is a roadmap on our website.

Q5. Most DeFi projects especially those ones offering yield farming are driven up by hype and scarcity, so when the hype dies the project dies. What’s the key to sustaining project yield farming?

Ans — This is really about building a compelling, fun game, as that’s our focus. We’re crafting a full world to explore and experience, not just a bunch of plots to farm. This offers tremendous variety of options for players of all interests and will maintain long-term engagement.

Q6. You point out that holders of the government token, Elumia Crowns ($ELU), will have a real and actionable say in the future direction of game development, but what is the min number of tokens we can hold? And also sessions will be held to share ideas? Or will they be mailed to you?

Ans — We’ll have more on the specifics of token usage in the weeks ahead. But you can certainly share thoughts and ideas with us on our Discord channel (links will be pasted here in a moment!)

Q7. Nearly 85% of investors only focus on short-term token price instead of understanding the real value of the project. Can you tell us the motivations and benefits for investors to hold your tokens in the long-term?

Ans — Simply, game and world development. We’re sure—because we’re experienced game developers—that the world, economies, focuses of players will evolve over time. We’re aware of that because we’ve seen it before and managed it before. But we’re building the world and its stories for long-term engagement.

Q8. In the Legend of Elumia, Once a gamer get a high-powered items and adds this to his/her character, is this item owned for all time or just for a specified period of time?

Ans — That will depend on the item, and we’ll have more to share on how that system works soon. Some items will be simple to buy, sell, use, trade. Others will be attached to your character. Special NFTS obviously stay with your character for all time. And we’ll reveal more about this process of how you earn them soon.

Q9. Many projects fail because the target audience and clients are not understood. So I want to know who is your ideal consumer for your product? do token holders have the right to participate in project governance?

Ans — $ELU token holders will be involved in governance, for sure. Details forthcoming. We feel the audience for Elumia is gamers and crypto fans. At its heart, we’re gamers making a game we want to play, and crypto enthusiasts who understand how the opportunities within a metaverse will enhance engagement in a long-term commitment to the world of Elumia.
