Introduction Questions Asked By Team BlockTalks!
Q1. Could you please introduce MetaSoccer to our community in layman’s terms?
Ans — MetaSoccer is an entire football metaverse where you can manage your own club and generate income while you play. We consider this the starting point of the future of a new sports ecosystem, decentralized and with multiple ways of actively participating.
Our vision is to create a new football category, the football metaverse. The Metasoccer Clubs will generate income at the same level as a professional team in the real world through sponsorships, streaming, betting events and scholarships. We are sure that the new Messi and CR7 will be discovered in our ecosystem.
Q2. What are the advantages of MetaSoccer to the other alternatives in the Blockchain field?
Ans — I think the first and most important thing is that we are the first soccer metaverse.
Secondly, we’re a team that works together since 2016. We have experience in soccer games (previous soccer manager (top rated with more than 2M users).
On the growth side, we are closing many deals with guilds and DAOs that will participate in our scholarship program and also with real-life football clubs.
The game will not only be about the actual football game but also replicating as many revenue streams from the real world football industry as possible. We are not just developing a game, we are developing a new sports paradigm, born natively on the blockchain, where the new player's superstars are still to be discovered.
As mentioned earlier, there are multiple ways in which you can earn our token $MSU with your contribution to the ecosystem. These are some of them:
- Selling players who have been discovered by your scouts
- Getting sponsorship & merchandising income as your players gain popularity
- Winning matches (simulated according to statistics) against other users in the career mode, or against AI in the friendly mode.
Q3. What are the major milestones MetaSoccer achieved so far & what are in the future pipeline?
Ans — In the last quarter of last year, we started the sale of $MSU Private & TBC Presale. We’re proud to have top-notch crypto investors like DeFiance Capital, PraFI, Play Ventures, DAO Maker... some of them are also investors in big games like Axie Infinity.
Also, we started our Youth Scouts private presale and Youth Scouts public presale in our own marketplace (5 different drops, all of them sold out in minutes! by the way, today is the 6th drop at 13h UTC. We have also released several features for the current holders like NFT minting; NFT Youth Scout staking or MSU staking
PVE will be released in Q1 2022 and PVP in Q2 2022. You can check all the milestones here https://whitepaper.metasoccer.com/metasoccer/more/roadmap
Finally, I’d mention our new licensed and playable real-life footballers NFT that we are launching. Our first football player was Thomas Partey from Arsenal and we will release a new football player in the next few weeks. Stay tunned!
Questions Asked on Twitter for MetaSoccer Team!!
Q1. What problem does MetaSoccer see with both fixed supply token and dynamic supply tokens for it to decide to use a TBC (Token Bonding Curve)? Can you tell us more about it, what are it main advantages and how exactly does it supports your goals of continuous adoption and long term sustainability of the Metaverse?
Ans — Technically speaking the TBC is a Smart Contract that enables users to buy and sell the MetaSoccer Universe (MSU) token. Similar to Uniswap and other DEXes, the TBC will always be available to trade MSUs at an evolving price, and can therefore be considered an Automated Market Market (AMM) too. When a user buys, the Curve mints (creates) tokens in exchange of collateral. When selling, the Curve will burn (destroy) those tokens back and return the collateral. This means that the Curve will not only increase the token supply when demand grows, but also decrease it when demand shrinks, making sure the ecosystem will adapt to long-term growth and reducing the impact from potential shocks. Therefore MetaSoccer’s TBC supports long term growth with dynamic ecosystem adoption (protect from shocks), guarantees liquidity (avoid rug pulls), and a few added security mechanisms to protect from front-runners / sandwich attacks. It also includes a funding mechanism that allows the team to get regular, transparent funding without needing to sell tokens.
We have this video explaining MetaSoccer’s TBC -> https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jMfiqGCJWDo&ab_channel=MetaSoccer
Q2. I understand that the Young Scouts are a fundamental pillar of the game; The introduction of new players to the MetaSoccer universe depends on them. So the only way to get in as a player is by impressing a scout with your stats? I can't pay to play in this case?
Ans — As you mention the main asset in our game is the Youth Scout which can mint football players.
You just need 11 players in your team (minimum) but we strongly recommend 16 or 18 to have enough substitutions (matches, injuries). With 2-3 Youth Scouts you can mint those 11 footballers. However, you will be able to buy players from other users in our marketplace (and also rent/loan footballers).
Q3. I understand that it is up to me as a coach that my players reach the maximum potential they have, so I would like to know what would happen if investors who have no knowledge in soccer wanted to invest in this game, could they hire other players to coach their characters?
Ans — One important feature we are developing is the manager role in the game. Therefore, as a club owner As you can create as many teams as you want. These teams can be delegated to other users (managers) to compete with them, train players and generate income for your club.
Manager role will be our scholarship program for MetaSoccer.
Q4. Will you present activities such as player rentals in today's football to users on MetaSoccer? Do you have an NFT rental system, or would you consider building one, for both underfunded investors and those trying to start a new team at MetaSoccer?
Ans — We are trying to replicate all the use cases we have in the real-life football and the "rentals" or loans is one of those use cases. We will develop a loan feature to increase the chances to create a team for new users and also to give possibilities to improve teams to managers who needs specific abilities or players.
Q5. I saw that each Youth Scout has a specific skill set, does this mean that in order to train my players in a balanced way I would have to have several Youth Scouts? How many skills can a scout improve? With this do you manage to maintain a fair competitiveness among your users?
Ans — Youth Scouts has expertise divided in different attributes: role (Defender, Goalkeeper, etc.); Specific role (RWB, RB, CB...); player ability . This expertise has direct consequence on the position of the players. You can read more info in the following link: https://whitepaper.metasoccer.com/metasoccer/game-assets/youth-scout. Therefore the chances of having different attributes in our player will depend on your Youth Scout
We will update the whitepaper in the following weeks with more information regarding this point so stay tunned to our townhall sessions with the product team!
Questions Asked by our BlockTalks Community Members during live Session to MetaSoccer Team!!
Q1. As one of the revenue streams for MetaSoccer will be NFT drops, other than Stadiums and Game Assets, what all things will be there in NFT drops, Can you please tell me more about that?
Ans — In 2022 we are planning to have 3 main drops:
1) Youth Scouts. Main NFT asset which allows users to mint football players. Important point here, Football players sales will take in a decentralized marketplace for Metasoccer’s users.
2) NFT Stadiums. We already shared info and renders of our stadiums in our twitter (https://twitter.com/MetaSoccer_EN) and medium ( https://metasoccer.medium.com/) if you want to check the info.
3) Real-life licensed football players. We will launch Thomas Partey (Arsenal’s Midfielder) and we will announce another big player really soon.
Q2. I am interested to invest in your project. When and where can I buy your tokens? Is it already listed on exchanges?
Ans — Thanks Emon. You can buy $MSU through the following options:
Q3. Does MetaSoccer currently offer players a 2D game or a 3D game? Have you ever been inspired by football games and football manager games that have proven themselves today? Can you share graphics and images from MetaSoccer?
Ans — MetaSoccer is a football manager so all the matches will be simulated. However, is not a 100% simulation through the IA, you can interact in real time (substitutions, line-ups modification or boosters).
Regarding the visualizations the roadmap is the following:
- Comments in the alpha launch.
- 2D simulation in June
- 3D simulation at the end of the year.
Q4. Have you made any Audit so far?
Ans — We have several audits from Hacken. You can check it out in the following link: https://hacken.io/audits/#meta_soccer
Q5. Could you please talk about the competitive advantages of MetaSoccer against other similar platforms? Can you name your 1-3 best features that might convince us to invest in MetaSoccer for the long term?
Ans — Our vision is much broader than our competitors. We are an entire football metaverse that you can manage your own club and generate income while you play. In addition, we do not create the players' NFTs, but we give users the tools so that they can mint them themselves: the Youth Scouts. With Youth Scouts you can mint as many players as you want. Depending on the Youth Scout you have, you will be able to mint different types of players.
Furthermore, we are creating real-life licensed footballers in the metaverse and we will soon announce the very first football clubs playing in the metasoccer ecosystem.
Q6. Marketing of project is one of the important things that every project should focus on, how are you handling the marketing issue?
Ans — We are proud to have important ambassadors from the crypto ecosystem (Kmanus88, KojisanNFT, Malcaide) and also footballers ambassadors like Thomas Partey. Really soon we will introduce our first real-life football clubs as well.
Q7. Can your NFT game characters be traded to other NFT markets outside of your own market? And how many classes/ranks of your NFT characters are there?
Ans — Yes, you can see opensea collection for example ( https://opensea.io/collection/metasoccer-youth-scout-tickets).
We are now selling Youth Scouts ticket in 4 different versions: Starter, Bronze, Silver and Gold. Each version gives different chances to get Youth Scout knowledge and abilities.
Q8. Staking is an important factor in the strategies to bring users and keep them in the long term. Does MetaSoccer project have a stakeout plan?
Ans — NFT staking is already like in our game (Conference Tour feature) allowing users to start generating income with their Youth Scouts.
$MSU Staking will be live this week (stay tunned in our twitter account).
