We recently hosted an AMA with Star Atlas, on August 20th at 2 PM UTC. Many of you might have participated or many of not. But we make sure no one missed out from the knowledge shared by Santi, Community Lead at Star Atlas. So here we are up with the AMA transcript, for those who missed the live session, this blog post will be a saver & feeder of knowledge for them.

Q1. Star Atlas is a massively multiplayer online metaverse. But when the game will be launching a full-fledged version?
Ans — Star Atlas differentiates from any other crypto and traditional mmo/rpg game in its quality. We are aiming to build a AAA Quality game, never been done before in the crypto industry.
Thus, we have the advantage of being incredibly experienced in blockchain development giving us a major edge, alongside working in the latest game engine technology. Star Atlas will be using Real-time graphics technology using Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite that will allow for cinematic quality video game visuals.
Star Atla’s vision is to be at the forefront of gaming with the latest technology in game development. In fact, Unreal Engine 5 will not even be available until later this year, and fully refined until 2022. (But we got early acces :) )
The first version of the game is expected to be launched in Q2 next year. However, we do not have a specific date as we want to make sure that quality and never seen experience is guaranteed.
The mini-game will be launched in September and we will be announcing it in our Discord and Telegram channels, as well as the newsletters that we periodically publish!
Q2. How the Star Atlas is planning to move ahead/cope with in future updates in NFT/Metaverse/Gaming market?
Ans — Star Atlas believes that the metaverse Just like the universe, is infinite of choices, possibilities and replications. It is not an isolated idea, it is the sum of virtual, AR, VR and the power of the new internet. As stated in the name “meta” comes from the greek “beyond”. Star Atlas is beyond the current reality.
We will evolve with trends and try to stay ahead of them by keeping true to Power To The People.

Q3. Some people see crypto games as a money-making machine instead of actually playing for fun. Why is an MMO like Star Atlas different?
Ans — As mentioned before, Star Atlas differentiates itself from any other crypto and traditional MMO game due to its quality. We truly believe in the power to the people and take into account the voices and expectations of our community.
There have always been MMO/RPGs, and great high-quality games, but every person who has played one knows how time-consuming they can become, and you end up not receiving anything in exchange for the time you spend in the game.
Crypto brings the possibility of monetizing the time spent in-game plus other limitless possibilities as well — this is the reason we are different.
Beyond those aspects, Star Atlas also brings true asset ownership to the player, transforming the equation from a transaction-based model to an ownership model. We distinctly allow the growth of the metaverse to be distributed broadly, empowering players for generations to come.

Q1. Almost $ 250,000 in tokens will be reserved exclusively for Star Atlas NFT badge holders. But, how much is the minimum of tokens that are required to bet and thus be able to enter this group of Star Atlas as holders of badges?
Ans — You need to have 750 PAID tokens in staking and at least 1 ticket obtained from the NFT posters, by holding this you’ll enter the dedicated pool for posters holders, which has 12.25 usd in allocation guaranteed.
Q2. All blockchain games to be successful have to focus on globalization, so can you explain what are the strategies that Star Atlas implements to attract users? Will they focus only on the APAC region? Or on all communities? How do you interact with non-English speaking communities?
Ans — Since day one, we have opened different channels in discord and telegram for the different communities. Currently, we are working on releasing information in several languages and we already have community managers from different parts of the world. We understand that Star Atlas fans are beyond frontiers and languages. thus, with time we will keep evolving the language frontiers so nobody misses it.
Q3. One of your strategic partners is Serum. What strategic advantages has their DEX technology brought to StarAtlas and its protocols? How will this powerful set of tools drive the Star Atlas peer-to-peer economy, without the need for a trusted third party?
Ans — Serum’s DEX protocol fulfills the needs of the expanding Star Atlas metaverse economy, bringing light speed settlement, near-zero operating costs, and a robust framework for a wide range of DeFi tools powered by Solana’s processing capabilities of over 50,000 transactions per second.
The integration with Serum enables the community worldwide to seamlessly trade meta-posters, spaceships and any other asset. This core launch lays the foundation for a full-fledged metaverse marketplace and allows users to manage all of their asset transactions.
Leveraging Serum enables Star Atlas players to participate in play-to-earn and decentralized finance activities through a unique in-game interface. Users are able to access the decentralized Marketplace functionality simply by connecting their Solana ecosystem wallet, such as the community-preferred Phantom wallet, and trading their assets.
Q4. Aside from the $ATLAS token, Star Atlas has another token for its platform and it is the $POLIS token. Would you care to explain the functions and purpose of $POLIS token and can we trade it in the market like $ATLAS?
Ans — POLIS is the governance token used at each level of governance, representing financial stake in the game, voting power in the DAOs where it is staked, and control of the Treasury. It has a fixed supply that will not grow (unless a decision to the contrary will be made by governance down the line)
As an asset, POLIS is a low-velocity, long-term store-of-value that incentivizes governance of the ATLAS economy for its long-run production. The POLIS DAO is tasked with the minting, distribution, and redistribution of ATLAS within the ATLAS treasury, and earn portions of the returns in ATLAS to the developments they vote to fund.
With a long-term perspective, DAO governors will ultimately be able to drive the direction of Metaverse development. Even to the extent that the founding Star Atlas development team could be voted out as the primary vendor for game assets and game design. Other areas of more immediate focus include: economic revisions, feature releases, asset release schedules, and optionality to incorporate player-created content. The total supply of POLIS is permanently fixed and does not increase
The total supply of the POLIS token is 360,000,000, It will be fully tradeable, yes!
Q5. Does the poster have any other value after the snapshot?(Except Collection)
Ans — Yes, posters will be attached to different drops in the future! We still can’t give confirmation on what they’re going to be exactly but they’ll remain as a valuable asset for the Star Atlas team.

Q1. How long do you think it’ll take for you to release a working model that the community can access?
Ans — We are less than a month away from the mini-game!
Q2. What are the superior features of Unreal Engine 5’s Nanite technology to Star atlas graphics technology? How does real-time graphics technology make a difference for video game visuals?
Ans — It allows Star Atlas to have cinema-quality gameplay!
Q3. I recently saw that Star Atlas is doing IDO on ApolloX and a generation token event. Can you tell us more about this? How could we participate, what are the requirements and expectations of the project and why have you chosen ApolloX to carry this out?
Ans — We have two IDOs, one on Apollo X and the other on Raydium. We also have the IEO on FTX!

Q4. Has the Star Atlas website gone through its Mobile Optimization yet and what are the requirements for mining on Star Atlas?
Ans — Not yet but we plan to have mobile optimization in the future! In order to mine you’ll need some land and mining equipment!
Q5. Is Star Atlas balanced with its purchasable items? How will Star Atlas make it fair its game for gamer? Will you avoid to create a fully “Pay to Win” game?
Ans — Basically, entry levels are low and you’ll be able to grow. Our entire economy is designed to reward the people for the time spent playing, not the money they put in!
