But we make sure no one missed out from the knowledge shared by Santi, Community lead at Star Atlas. Q1. Star Atlas launched an NFT with the US Space Force, can you tell us more details about this?
Ans — In a first-ever move into the metaverse and NFT realm, US Space Force and Neil Armstrong are transcending the bounds of time and space by joining forces with Star Atlas for a June 15 release of a surprise ReBirth NFT collectible accompanying a space launch of a new satellite honoring the legendary NASA astronaut’s name. The satellite launch is planned for June 17, 2021 at the Space Force Station in Cape Canaveral, Florida.

Q2. Recently Star Atlas collaborated with a lot of artists in various niche, what are the advantages of it?
Ans — That’s true! We have been colaborating with a lot of great and awesome artists for our ReBirth and Legends NFTs drops. It’s great because each artist has their own unique style and this is fully transmitted into the NFT. The names of these artists are: Blondish, Bassjackers, Renze, Maejor, Steve James, and our most recent announcement: Deadmau5! Who will be making the soundscape for the last poster of the ReBirth campaign.
We also have Jason Silva’s voice speaking really motivational and inspiring words about the metaverse and the future of humanity in ome of our ReBirth posters and also in the Armstrong Forever NFT.
All this has helped to spread the word of blockchain, blockchain gaming and the metaverse to all parts of the world.

Q1. We know that technology evolves more and more and many devices are constantly degenerating, there is no estimated time to stay current. This will be an obstacle to be able to enjoy games? Can you tell me what features a device should have that I can play with?
Ans — We are building Star Atlas using Unreal Engine 5 and with blockchain technology enabled, more specifically in the Solana chain, two of the most advanced technologies that will probably stay as state of the art for a long time, so i wouldn’t worry about Star Atlas being left behind when it comes to technology. We don’t have the minimum requirements for running the game right now, but the better computer you have, the better the experience!
Also, we are launching our minigame in August, which will be browser based so everyone will be able to play!
Q2. From what I see, the priorities of the project are established in the APAC region, but the Star Atlas project has no plans to go global and expand to other regions of the world such as Europe, Oceania or Latin America?
Ans — Right now we are focusing primarily on the APAC region because of the massive adoption we are seeing there, but our plans with Star Atlas are to conquer the world!

Q3. What about the Consensus mechanism of STAR ATLAS platform? Most platforms renounced their authority to the community. Do you expect to renounce the ownership? Can you tell us about the governance of the community of STAR ATLAS platform?
Ans — Right now, and for a few years more, the Star Atlas team is building the game, and setting the basis, but we expect Star Atlas to be fully community driven in the future!
However, you’ll have the opportunity to vote, and have a voice inside the development of the game using POLIS, our governance token.
Q4. Basing Star Atlas on a multiplayer grand strategy genre, creates an engaging game in the long run. As factions battle in a universal space landscape under a state of constant flux, what prominent financial utility do their dual tokens have, and what difference does each have?
Ans — As you’ve correctly said, Star Atlas operates a dual token economy, with the two crypto-native assets being ATLAS and POLIS.
ATLAS is the transactional currency of the game. Effectively the in-game gold, and the lubricant of the digital economy. It is used for virtually every transaction within the Metaverse, and will also be one of the primary financial reward mechanisms for gamers. ATLAS also provides a 33% discount on certain asset purchases from us, the developer, such as Ships and Components.
POLIS is a dual-purposed governance token. Within the game, POLIS provides the holder with strategic benefits of political domination. Controlling a region of space opens up mechanics of taxation of other players, and the ability to define rules, laws, fines and fees within the micro-metropolis. Externally, POLIS provides holders with true governance rights over long-term development decision making. Opening up the potential for pure decentralization of game development in the years to follow. And naturally, POLIS provides a 33% discount on Land and Crew when purchased from us . The governance token, POLIS, will also play a pivotal role in the decentralized corporations. We anticipate these micro-metropolises to be largely guided by voting abilities of the underlying players. The extent to which a guild wants to utilize that functionality in their decision making is subjective, but the tools are present.
Q5. The blockchain gaming market is starting, what preparations have you made to enter and stay in the segment? Why use SOL and not BSC as the basis for the game?
Ans — We made a lot of research, and it’s clear that blockchain gaming is the future of gaming, so we wanted to be one of the first AAA quality titles built entirely on blockchain tech.
Solana was honestly an easy choice, but came down to a few critical areas for us. And I will note, we analyzed a number of third-generation layer one protocols before selecting Solana.
• The tech — extremely high transaction throughput (50,000 tps), highly scalable, low latency (sub-second finality), and low transaction costs at $.0001/tx. All of which are essential for delivering a game of this caliber entirely on chain.
• The team behind the company. These are guys of high pedigree, working with some major tech companies historically (Qualcomm, Dropbox, etc.) And they/you have all been amazing to work with.
• The affiliations — having associates with teams like FTX, Alameda Research, Serum, etc. has already paid dividends.
• The ecosystem. The Solana ecosystem is absolutely exploding with innovation. We have a number of partnerships in the pipeline directly resulting from being involved in the ecosystem, with teams like Stardust, Audius, Raydium, and others.
When we initiated conversations with the folks behind Solana last year, there were something like 30 projects building on Solana. Today, that number is well over 125. We wanted to be the first game built on Solana.

Q1. For those who are new to the game, is it a game suitable for beginners, or is it rewarding more hardcore gamers?
Have you seen people quit their jobs and start making money in the Star Atlas meta-universe?
Ans — Nobody should ever be blocked out from entry level items. Other items will be higher cost, which can be earned or purchased. But the game is also balanced such that there is no ‘pay to win’ mechanic. There should be a balance struggle for classes of all types. Which might simply result in more strategic planning amongst clans/groups with weaker assets. However, everything can be defeated. So It won´t be pay to win but te ones with more money inside the game will get higher rewards, but you’ll be able to monetize the time you spend in game, logically, the more time you spend, the more money you’ll earn!
We want to build a future where people quit their “real life” jobs and can earn their living playing Star Atlas!
Q2. Partnerships are crucial for Adoption, so can you tell us what partners you have currently and future partnerships?
Ans — Our current partnerships are with: Solana, Serum, FTX, Stardust, Yield Guild Gaming, Unic.ly, Blockchain Game Alliance, AccelerRaytor, Solstarter, Audius, PAID network, Blind Boxes, and more yet to announce.
Q3. Currently the main problems of the crypto market are gas costs and high scalability. How do you plan to solve this problem? Are you planning to expand your token list on different exchanges for less cost?
Ans — We are on Solana.
Q4. This is the second AMA of StarAtlas with BlockTalks, what has changed since the last time you were here, what updates can you bring to the community of Blocktalkers?
Ans — Lot’s of things have been going on, we are receiving more and more support everyday from the community and also, we have some major names interested in Star Atlas, like Mr Beast himself.

Q5. How do the materials and parameters come together for the visual effects you make in Unreal Engine, and how does your production art team work for features like acceleration, deceleration, visualization? How many studios do you use?
Ans — Regarding to the first one, it exceeds my level of knowledge on art and designing, but don’t be discouraged, we host a weekly Atlassian Town Hall meeting where we bring to stage Michael (CEO) and other members of our team, like Danny Floyd (CPO) who is in charge of everything related to product and art development. In these Townhalls, you will be able to jump into the stage and ask these kind of questions directly to them!

Q6. As a new investor how can I buy the token? Is it already listed on any exchange?
Ans — Token sale will take place probably in August, team is currently working on tokenomics and go to market strategy, so we will probably publish more details closer to the launch date.
Q7. How strong is your team ? Many projects starts with good impression and later abandoned the project. What makes your project different than others?
Ans — Our team is in constant expansion, But members of our team have worked on quite a few high profile games and movies in their long careers such as:

Q8. I see that the community have called for the rectification of the Neil Armstrong poster rewards. Have this request been considered by the Star Atlas team? If yes, can you provide us with the updated rewards that will be obtained by purchasing Neil Armstrong’s poster?
Ans — We have listened to community feedback and changed the rewards of the Neil Armstrong poster. The final rewards of the Neil Armstrong poster are these:

Q9. Researching Star Atlas, I realized that to play the game I have to pay, so can you give details of the amounts that players will have to pay? How affordable will subscriptions be for users?
Ans — Entry levels to play the game will be as low as $20 and thinking of lowering them to $5.
